Day 2 - Thursday, May 21, 2026

Today was our first full day on Hurricane Island! We woke up and had a delicious breakfast before we went out for the day. We started in the Intertidal Zone, where we found a lot of really amazing and cool animals. After, we went on a perimeter hike of the island and learned about its history during the Quarry Era. Then, after lunch, we learned about plankton and looked at some under the microscope. Before dinner, we did some observational drawings of nature and had free time.
