Science Teacher Meredith Oppegard Sets Guinness World Record

CSW Science Faculty and Cross Country Coach Meredith Oppegard recently set the Guinness World Record for the fastest half marathon dressed as a Star Wars character (female).
Meredith ran the Philly Love Run Half Marathon on March 29 with a time of 1:39:39. She ran it dressed as "Rey," and carried her lightsaber the whole time. As part of the record process, she was required to take a selfie every mile to prove that she was in costume the whole time.

Congratulations to Meredith on this unique achievement!
