Coco '26

Boarding Student
Hometown: Beijing, China
Next Stop: University of Southern California
Before coming to CSW, Coco had never set foot on US soil, but she was ready to trade her rigid, textbook-driven school system for the creative freedom and challenge of CSW. She quickly found a home for herself through close faculty mentorship and immersive community roles. She competed on the varsity field hockey and tennis teams, served as a dorm leader and peer mentor, led the Asian Heritage Affinity group, and choreographed original dance pieces for the annual Dance Concert. While she has always had a passion for photography and video production, her intellectual curiosity truly sparked in the History Department, where she discovered an affinity for human rights and anthropology. For her capstone, she synthesized these interests to publish a book of documentary photography complemented by collected oral histories from her hometown. She will attend the University of California and study anthropology and film.
