Boarding Life Daily Schedule

WEEKDAYS

7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.   BREAKFAST
You don't have to eat breakfast in the dining hall, but there's good, hot food if you want it! And if you're not a morning person, you can always grab a bagel on the way to class. 

8:30 a.m. – 2:45 p.m.   A-B-C CLASSES
You'll attend a range of classes from the 250 courses CSW offers. 

3:15 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.  D BLOCK CLASSES
Students take a variety of D Block classes ranging from language, history, or science electives, art classes, intramural sports or play on a sports team!

5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.   DINNER
We offer a variety of hot options, including vegetarian options, a deli counter, and a salad bar. And dessert, of course!

7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.   STUDY HOURS
For the first few months, new 9th and 10th graders study in the library together. After that, you can study in your room, the dorm common room, the library, the art building, the dance or music studios... whatever you need to get your best work done.

10:00 p.m.   IN-DORM TIME/QUIET HOURS
From 9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., you can visit friends in other dorms, but at 10:00 p.m. you need to be back in your own dorm.

11:00 p.m.   IN-ROOM TIME
You're ready for bed and in your room.

12:00 a.m.   WIRELESS INTERNET OFF
Give your phone a break and get some rest!

SATURDAY

10:00 a.m. – noon   BRUNCH
Because made-to-order omelets and delicious waffles are worth getting out of bed for. 

ACTIVITIES
Take part in on-campus events and gatherings, meet up with friends off-campus, or join a school-sponsored weekend activity – like a Celtics game or museum visit. 

5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.   DINNER

10:30 p.m. – 11:15 p.m.   IN-DORM TIME
In-dorm time is 10:30 p.m. for 9th and 10th graders and 11:15 p.m. for 11th and 12th graders on Fridays and Saturdays. Whether you're playing pickup basketball in the Fit, visiting friends in other dorms, or at an off-campus activity, you'll return to your dorm and check in with your dorm parents by in-dorm time.

SUNDAY

10:00 a.m. – noon   BRUNCH

5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.   DINNER
Three Sundays per year we have a family-style boarding dinner with fun programming organized by the Director of Residential Life and Dorm Leaders.

7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.  FREE TIME
Time for finishing up homework or hanging out with friends. 

8:00 p.m.   IN-DORM TIME: DORM MEETING AND SUPER CLEAN
Gather to hang out, talk, plan activities, and tidy the shared spaces in the dorm. 

10:00 p.m.   QUIET HOURS
Start winding down and getting ready for the week.

11:00 p.m.   IN-ROOM TIME
You're ready for bed and in your room.

The Cambridge School of Weston is a progressive high school for day and boarding students in grades 9–12 and PG. CSW's mission is to provide a progressive education that emphasizes deep learning, meaningful relationships, and a dynamic program that inspires students to discover who they are and what their contribution is to their school, their community and the world.
