Student Receives Prestigious Scholarship to Study Abroad

Pamela Weinstein-Molloy '16 has received an academic scholarship to study Russian in Moldova for the 2016-17 school year.
Pamela Weinstein-Molloy '16 has received an academic scholarship to study Russian in Moldova for the 2016-17 school year.

Sponsored by the U.S. Government through the U.S. State Deaprtment's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, and administered by American Councils for International Education, Pamela will be based in Chisinau, Moldova for an intensive language study.

Pamela currently speaks Russian on an intermediate level. Her Capstone project was the creation of a children's book in Russian.

"I am very interested in international law and international relations," Pamela shared. "I am thrilled to be offered something so prestigious by the State Department, which I hope to work for some day."

She will take a gap year in order to attend this program, and will begin at Wellesley College the following year. At Wellesley, Pamela intends to extend her skills and study Russian literature.
