Financial Aid Grant Information

How do I know if we received financial aid?
Families who applied for financial assistance through School and Student Services (SSS) will find their financial aid grant information for the 2022-23 academic year in MyCSW along with their student’s enrollment contract. Information regarding general benefits can be found on the Parent Resources tile on MyCSW.

How do I accept my family’s grant?
You accept your grant through the MyCSW system at the time you sign your enrollment contract. By accepting a grant, you agree to inform the CSW Financial Aid Office promptly about all changes in financial circumstances that would affect the need for assistance. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Additional income or assets not already reported
  • Reductions in the number of children in tuition-charging schools
  • A 10% or greater increase in adjusted gross income compared to the previous year’s, and/or the estimated income you provided on your Parents' Financial Statement (PFS)

You further agree to provide the CSW Financial Aid Office with a signed 4506-T form (Request for Transcript of Tax Return) if your family is chosen for additional verification. Discrepancies may result in a review and adjustment to a financial aid award either in the current or subsequent year.

As with all financial information between the school and your family, this award must be treated confidentially.

In addition to tuition, what else does financial aid cover?
The following additional benefits are available to your family for the 2022-2023 academic year:

Daily school-provided transportation: Students who receive 50% or more in financial aid are eligible for a 50% reduction in school-provided transportation.

Athletic uniforms and participation: Participation in interscholastic teams and team uniforms are provided to all team members at no charge. (Additional financial support may be available for families who qualify for personal athletic items such as sneakers and cleats).

Student activities: All student activities are provided at no charge to all students with the exception of Boat Dance (an end-of-year social event off-campus), ski trips, and wilderness trips. The charges for these three events are covered at the same percentage as your tuition.

Computer device: A laptop device and/or scientific calculator can be provided upon request for students receiving 50% or more financial aid; please email financialaid@csw.org by May 15, 2022, if you would like us to reserve a device for your student.

CSW mod-long travel courses that offer academic credit (i.e. France, Panama, China/Taiwan): Families who receive financial aid should expect to receive aid for trips. The cost will depend on factors including the level of aid received and the cost of the course/trip.

Non-credit school travel opportunities (including trips for clubs): Families who receive financial aid should expect to receive aid for trips. The cost will depend on factors including the level of aid received and the cost of the course.

College Test Preparation: Twelve hours of SAT/ACT online, semi-private preparation classes are offered to CSW students receiving 50% or more financial aid through Revolution Prep at the same percentage as tuition coverage.

CSW is committed to working closely with each family to make a CSW education possible.
