Spring Break & Mod 5

Looking Ahead to Spring Break and Mod 5

CSW has been fortunate to have thus far a positive on-campus experience. We recognize that this is due to the incredible diligence, sacrifice, and dedication of students, families and faculty and staff during this challenging year. As we approach Spring Break, we hope families will continue to exhibit caution and restraint.

This year, Spring Break will be a week shorter than usual, running from March 8 – 12. Please also note that there will be a professional day for faculty and staff on Monday, March 15; there will be no classes on this day. The remainder of that week (March 16 –19) will be a remote learning week. In-person learning will resume on Monday, March 22.

Prior to returning to campus for in-person instruction on March 22, all students, faculty, and staff will be required to engage in on-campus testing through One Medical on Wednesday, March 17. This day will be a remote, asynchronous learning day. Please be sure to reserve your appointment through the One Medical app as soon as possible. Anyone unable to participate in on-campus testing on March 17 should contact Nurse Toni Singleton (tsingleton@csw.org) to determine a solution.

Planning to travel over the break?

Any individual who has traveled out of state will need to provide a second negative test result before returning to in-person learning. That test should be taken five to six days after their return to Massachusetts, and in addition to the test provided on campus on March 17. Upon receipt of that second negative test, students should share that information with Toni (tsingleton@csw.org). They will then be sent a confirmation reply that they are cleared to return for in person learning. Until that email has been received, students will need to participate in remote learning.

Next week we will share a form to be filled out by anyone planning on traveling out of state during the week of Spring Break. All students coming from outside of Massachusetts must follow the MA COVID-19 Travel Order and complete the Massachusetts Travel Form prior to or upon arriving in Massachusetts.
