CSW Parking and Traffic Procedures

Students and families are encouraged learn and/or reacquaint themselves with the required school procedures for campus access, drop-off/pick-up, general traffic flow and parking. All community members and campus visitors are expected to adhere to these guidelines over the course of the school year.

Campus Access Procedures

During​ ​regular​ ​school​ ​hours​ ​(7​ ​a.m.​ ​to​ ​4:15​ ​p.m.,​ ​Monday​ ​through​ ​Friday):
After​ ​regular​ ​school​ ​hours​ ​or​ ​on​ ​the​ ​weekend: 
In​ ​the​ ​event​ ​of​ ​an​ ​emergency: 
  • Families​ ​and​ ​students​ ​may​ ​use​ ​the​ ​Georgian​ ​Road​ ​entrance​ ​should​ ​an​ ​emergency​ ​require access​ ​to​ ​upper​ ​campus​ ​during​ ​the​ ​school​ ​day.
Morning Drop-Off Procedures
  • All​​ ​morning​ ​drop-off​ ​takes​ ​place​ ​in​ ​the​ ​traffic​ ​circle​ ​in​​ ​front​ ​of​ ​the​ ​Health​ ​&​ ​Fitness Center​ ​on​ ​the​ ​lower​ ​campus​,​ ​this​ ​includes​ ​individual​ ​family​ ​cars​ ​as​ ​well​ ​as​ ​all​ ​CSW shuttles​ ​and​ ​buses.
  • Drop-off​ ​time​ ​is​ ​from​ ​7:30-8:30​ ​a.m.​ ​A​ ​Block​ ​classes​ ​begin​ ​promptly​ ​at​ ​8:30​ ​a.m.
  • The​ ​dining​ ​hall​ ​opens​ ​at​ ​7:30​ ​a.m.
Traffic Flow Procedures

For​ ​lower​ ​campus:
  • To​ ​access​ ​the​ ​drop-off​ ​circle​ ​in​ ​front​ ​of​ ​the​ ​Health​ ​&​ ​Fitness​ ​Center,​ ​the​ ​athletic​ ​fields and​ ​student​ ​parking,​ ​enter​ ​at​ ​85​ ​Lexington​ ​Street​ ​(the​ ​Field​ ​Entrance)​ ​and​ ​proceed​ ​to parking​ ​spaces​ ​or​ ​Health​ ​&​ ​Fitness​ ​Center​ ​turn-around.​ ​There​ ​is​ ​no​ ​vehicular​ ​traffic access​ ​to​ ​upper​ ​campus​ ​from​ ​the​ ​Health​ ​&​ ​Fitness​ ​Center.
For​ ​upper​ ​campus: 
  • Access​ ​to​ ​upper​ ​campus​ ​is​ ​via​ ​the​ ​Georgian​ ​Road​ ​entrance.​ ​The​ ​road​ ​behind​ ​the​ ​French Gymnasium​ ​is​ ​​not​​ ​a​ ​throughway.​ ​It​ ​is​ ​for​ ​delivery,​ ​maintenance​ ​and​ ​emergency​ ​vehicles only.
Afternoon Pick-Up Procedures
  • Afternoon​ ​pick-up​ ​takes​ ​place​ ​in​ ​the​ ​traffic​ ​circle​ ​in​ ​front​ ​of​ ​the​ ​Health​ ​&​ ​Fitness​ ​Center on​ ​the​ ​lower​ ​campus,​ ​this​ ​includes​ ​individual​ ​family​ ​cars​ ​as​ ​well​ ​as​ ​all​ ​CSW​ ​shuttles​ ​and buses.
  • Pick-up​ ​time​ ​is​ ​from​ ​the​ ​end​ ​of​ ​the​ ​last​ ​class​ ​of​ ​the​ ​day​ ​(2:30​ ​p.m.)​ ​on.
  • Please​ ​note​ ​that​ ​CSW​ ​is​ ​a​ ​non-idling​ ​campus.​ ​Please​ ​turn​ ​off​ ​your​ ​engine​ ​while​ ​waiting.
 
Chris Drop-off/Pick-Up Outside of Regular School Day Hours
  • Special​ ​arrangements​ ​can​ ​be​ ​made​ ​for​ ​drop-off​ ​after​ ​10​ ​a.m.​ ​or​ ​for​ ​pick-up​ ​before​ ​2​ ​p.m. Students​ ​must​ ​sign​ ​in/out​ ​at​ ​the​ ​main​ ​desk​ ​in​ ​the​ ​Kluchman​ ​Building​ ​and​ ​may,​ ​for​ ​these instances​ ​only,​ ​be​ ​dropped-off/picked-up​ ​at​ ​the​ ​Kluchman​ ​circle. 
Parking Procedures

  • All​ ​students​ ​should​ ​use​ ​the​ ​Field​ ​Entrance​ ​and​ ​park​ ​in​ ​the​ ​spaces​ ​on​ ​the​ ​lower​ ​campus marked​ ​A​.
  • Parking​ ​in​ ​​section​ ​B​​ ​is​ ​for​ ​faculty​ ​and​ ​staff​ ​only.
  • Parking​ ​in​ ​​section​ ​C​​ ​is​ ​for​ ​Health​ ​&​ ​Fitness​ ​center​ ​​D-Block​ ​coaches​ ​only​.
  • Parking​ ​in​ ​​section​ ​D​​ ​is​ ​for​ ​faculty​ ​and​ ​staff​ ​only.
  • Parking​ ​in​ ​​section​ ​E​​ ​is​ ​for​ ​faculty/staff​ ​or​ ​campus​ ​visitors​ ​only.
  • There​ ​is​ ​no​ ​parking​ ​on​ ​the​ ​roadway​ ​parallel​ ​to​ ​the​ ​athletic​ ​fields​ ​or​ ​by​ ​the​ ​facilities​ ​barn.
  • There​ ​is​ ​no​ ​parking​ ​on​ ​Georgian​ ​or​ ​Aleph​ ​Roads.
After​ ​regular​ ​school​ ​hours​ ​or​ ​on​ ​the​ ​weekend: 
  • All​ ​community​ ​members​ ​and​ ​visitors​ ​may​ ​park​ ​in​ ​the​ ​sections​ ​marked​ ​D​ ​on​ ​the​ ​​campus parking​ ​map​.
During​ ​athletic​ ​events​ ​after​ ​2:30​ ​p.m.: 
  • Parking​ ​during​ ​athletic​ ​events​ ​is​ ​in​ ​sections​ ​​A,​ ​B,​ ​and​ ​D​ ​only​.​ ​There​ ​is​ ​no​ ​passenger vehicle​ ​parking​ ​by​ ​the​ ​facilities​ ​barn;​ ​this​ ​space​ ​is​ ​reserved​ ​for​ ​buses.​ ​There​ ​is​ ​no​ ​parking on​ ​the​ ​roadway​ ​parallel​ ​to​ ​the​ ​athletic​ ​fields,​ ​unless​ ​directed​ ​by​ ​facilities​ ​personnel during​ ​the​ ​event.
For​ ​special​ ​events: 
  • Families coming to campus for orientation and welcome events should park in section E on the campus parking map.
  • Parking for End-of-Mod,theatre ordance performances, academic or college counseling nights and trustee meetings is in section E on the campus parking map or on Georgian Road.
  • For graduation, special parking instructions will be sent out separately.
