Girls' Varsity Soccer ties with CHCH

The CSW Girls' Varsity Soccer team battled to a 3-3 tie against Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall. The Gryphons dominated most of the game but could not come away with the victory. CSW scored early in the 10th minute on cross by Maya Rabin '22 that was deflected into the back of the net by a CHCH defender. CHCH answered ten minutes later on a gorgeous free kick 10 yards outside the box. The shot was just out of the reach of keeper Ari Kim '23, glancing off the crossbar into the net. CSW took the lead again when Claire Lynch '20 poked in a goal past the CHCH keeper.  At halftime, CSW was up 2-1, looking for insurance goals. McKinley Gregg '21 scores with a beautiful shot from the top of the 18 gave us a 3-1 lead, but it wasn’t enough. CHCH scored 2 goals to bring the final score to 3-3.
