Girls' Varsity Soccer Falls to Waring 3-2

CSW Girls' Varsity Soccer team lost a close match to Waring on Wednesday, September 25. The Gryphons dominated most of the game, but could not come away with the victory. Freshman Sara Berz scored the first goal of her career 24 minutes into the first half to give CSW a 1-0 lead. The lead did not last long, as Waring tied the game going into halftime. CSW played well as a team, connecting passes and possessing the ball. Eight minutes into the second half, McKinley Gregg '21 sent a through-ball to Bella Willette '21on the right wing and Bella buried a shot past the Waring keeper to put CSW up 2-1. CSW could not hold onto the lead and Waring scored an unanswered goal for a final score of 3-2. CSW looks to win at home on Friday against Brimmer.
