Two Win National Scholastic Medals

CSW is excited to announce that two students have won National Medals from the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. Congratulations to Lola Koepke '21 and Jack Zhang '20.

This year, students across the nation in grades 7–12 submitted close to 320,000 works of art to be considered for awards in 29 categories. From that pool, a smaller selection of works was judged and deemed worthy of Gold Key, Silver Key, or Honorable Mention awards. Students at CSW earned 57 regional awards, 16 of which were Gold Keys.

Two CSW student pieces were selected as national winners. Their work is considered as part of the top 1% of art and writing submitted to the 2020 Scholastic Awards.

Lola Koepke ’21 won a Silver Medal for her piece, "Collision," in the Painting category.

Jack Zhang ’20 earned a Silver Medal for his piece, "Complex for Residents and Nature," in the Architecture and Industrial Design category.

CSW congratulates Lola and Jack on this significant achievement!
