L-J Filerman ’23 Film Wins “Best of Festival” Award

Sophomore L-J Filerman’s short film, SANCTUARY, recently won “Best of Festival” in the Student Division at the 2020 Arlington International Film Festival.
This is L-J’s first festival submission and his first award for a short film, “which made it that much more exciting to announce to my family,” he says.

Directed, shot, edited, and written by L-J, the film stars the filmmaker himself, who also created the music for the piece. The logline for the film reads: A young man's criminal past catches up to him and exposes him to unforeseen dangers. Watch SANCTUARY online here!

The Arlington International Film Festival, which is online this year, will run November 5-15, with passes on sale now.

Congratulations, L-J!
