Preethi Ganesh '23 Organizes SAC Fundraiser

Back in 2019, Preethi Ganesh ’23 and a friend organized a Youth Council for Support a Child (SAC), an organization that provides support for children from India from underprivileged backgrounds. The council was created to offer a means for youth to get involved and bring awareness to the important work that SAC is doing.

This weekend, Preethi and the Youth Council will be hosting a virtual fundraiser for the organization featuring Harikatha performances. Literally translated to “the story of Vishnu,” Harikatha is a form of Hindu traditional discourse in which a storyteller explores a traditional theme accompanied by music, dance, theater, and poetry. The online event is open to the public and will take place on December 18 at 6 p.m. Click here to learn more and click here to watch the show live on December 18
