Music Faculty Michael Weinstein Performs in World Premiere of "Black Athena~Power"

On November 19,  CSW music faculty Michael Weinstein performed with the Lexington Symphony in the world premiere of "Black Athena~Power." Composed by Ray Angry, pianist, composer, and member of the band The Roots, "Black Athena~Power" is inspired by Martin Bernal's novel Black Athena. The symphony is a "sonic representation of an analysis of power throughout time". Read more.
