Charlie Dietel '19 Returns to CSW to Teach Recording and Production Class

On Friday, the music department got a special visit from CSW alum Charlie Dietel ‘19. Charlie who is studying Music Production and Engineering at Berklee College of Music gave a masterclass to our Recording and Production class.
He taught students how to use the program Logic, discussed microphone placements and how to more efficiently transfer/modify the captured sound using the recording equipment. Music teachers Michael and Gustavo credit Charlie's work in creating multiple pathways between the control booth and the recording studio.

The music department is continually grateful to the Dietel family for being part of the group of individuals that helped establish CSW's Recording Studio.

CSW—a gender-inclusive day and boarding school for grades 9-12—is a national leader in progressive education. We live out our values of inquiry-based learning, student agency, and embracing diverse perspectives in every aspect of our student experience. Young people come to CSW to learn how to learn and then put what they learn into action—essential skills they carry into their futures as doers, makers, innovators, leaders, and exceptional humans who do meaningful work in the world.
