Res Life Kicks of the Year with Fall Boarders Weekend
All Boarders Weekend, a welcoming back as well as a welcoming in of new boarders, occurred the second weekend of school and there was no shortage of highlights.
The goal of All Boarders Weekends is of course to have fun, but ultimately its purpose is to foster a community of people whose unity creates a home away from home for those living on campus.
We kicked off the weekend with bingo night, followed by s’mores making at the fire pit in the amphitheater. Another highlight from the weekend was a Saturday afternoon Duck Boat tour of Boston and the Charles River on a renovated World War II amphibious vehicle. On Sunday, the boarding community engaged in a round of field games requiring each dorm to model t-shirts they designed, as well as compete in relay races like a classic baton pass and the ever-popular hula hoop chain challenge. Students also paired up with one another for an egg-toss which was fun but definitely messy!
The weekend was capped off with fractured fairytales, a longstanding All Boarders Weekend tradition where boarders are challenged to work together to produce and perform skits based on a specific set of parameters. This year’s skits did not disappoint, creating a fun and humorous atmosphere for all. Aleph created their own rendition of Shrek, Barn had Nemo, Trapelo had Trollz and Warren had Boss Baby.
If this past weekend is any indication, the 2023-24 year is going to be a great one for the CSW boarding community!

The Cambridge School of Weston is a progressive high school for day and boarding students in grades 9–12 and PG.
