CSW Hosts Inaugural Fall Family Weekend
On September 29-30, CSW was delighted to host the first annual Fall Family Weekend, bringing together students, parents/guardians, faculty, and staff for two exciting days of programming.
The weekend kicked off with Friday’s “A Day in the Life” event, in which parents and guardians were able to shadow students through their days, sitting in on classes, visiting community groups, and enjoying meals together. Later, during D Block, visitors could choose from a variety of activities, including a live conversation with Head of School Lise Charlier. After school, families braved rainy conditions to cheer on student athletes and enjoy a barbecue dinner down at the Fit and fields.
Saturday was Blue and Gold Day. The first event of the morning was a fun run around CSW’s picturesque campus. Community members cheered on the runners as they completed a circuit that began at the Fit and circled around the main campus. After, runners and fans alike enjoyed cider and donuts, face painting, arts and crafts, and a bouncy castle. Another highlight of the day was the community engagement information fair, in which attendees could learn about some of CSW’s community partners, organizations with whom students have partnered as part of the PACE (Promoting Awareness and Community Engagement) program. Organizations in attendance included Cradles to Crayons, the Bristol Lodge Soup Kitchen, Rosa Amarilla, and Love Your Menses.
Throughout the weekend, the sense of community spirit and gratitude was palpable, strengthening the bonds between families, faculty, and students while creating cherished memories for all. We can’t wait to do it again next year!
