Diane Sneider, director of health services, and Jennifer Quest-Stern, school counselor, are new members of the
Independent School-Health Association (ISHA) council.
As members of the ISHA council, Diane and Jen will be involved in shaping the programming at the association’s annual conferences that educate school leaders about current health and wellness issues. Past conferences have addressed the impact of a sexualized culture, coping with loss and change, as well as general sleep and nutrition issues. Next month’s conference will examine the impact of cyber bullying.
They were invited to join the council last spring and will serve for a term of two years until 2012.
“I look forward to collaborating with administrators, counselors, and nurses of the Independent School-Health Association,” Diane said. “We’re one school in a sea of school and it would help to have CSW’s voice at their meetings.”
ISHA is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting good health and to enhancing the quality of life for students, faculty, and staff at independent schools. The group is led by a volunteer council from member schools and represents physicians, nurses, counselors, and other school personnel. The organization draws its memberships from schools primarily in New England, but includes schools all over the country.
