Ultimate B-team Finishes Season Strong vs. Ashland

CSW's Ultimate Frisbee B-team took the long ride to Ashland on Thursday, May 26th for a game against Ashland High School B-team. 

This was a back and forth game throughout. Both teams battled windy conditions and stellar zone defense. CSW scored the first downwind point, but Ashland soon responded with three consecutive points (including an upwind break).

As the wind died down, however, the CSW offense heated up, scoring seven straight points to take half CSW's 8 to Ashland's 3. Points were scored by Nick Lees '15, Alex Kluchman '17, Dean Weeden '16, Eli Franzen '18, Matt Waters '15, and Evan Cuthbertson '17, with assists from Reese Moehlenkamp '16, Rayna Forman '16, Philip Mason '18, and Sylvia Blake '17
 
After halftime and a field change, Ashland made a run with four straight points, before CSW responded with a point from Sylvia to Matt Bird '17. The final three points of the game were scored by Dean Weeden with assists from Ben Klebe '16
 
This was an excellent game all around, and both teams showed great energy and spirit in the season's final game. The final score saw CSW on top, 12-8.
