Our school library offers a wide variety of resources to support the curriculum and student learning. The library is dedicated to helping students acquire the research and information literacy skills necessary for their classes, as well as provide books and other resources that help feed innate intellectual curiosities. Our librarians are committed to maintaining and developing a collection of books, periodicals, and digital content that supports our classes and reflects the diverse interests, cultures, and backgrounds of our community.
The library houses approximately 20,000 volumes, which include non-fiction and fiction text as well as reference materials; more than 80 periodical subscriptions; and a large collection of digital archives and non-print items. Through our pilot iPad program, students and faculty also have access to iPads that can be checked out for short periods of time, generally over the weekend, for personal and school work use.
The Johnson Research Room, located within the library, is a networked multimedia room that provides students with access to computers and printers, as well as an extensive link to information resources outside of the library. Students can access more than 1,000 journals and reference sources through the Metrowest Massachusetts Regional Library system’s online research databases and through subscriptions to several proprietary online databases. In addition, we are members of CLASS, a consortium of Boston area independent schools that share approximately 275,000 items through interlibrary loan.
