Boys' Varsity Basketball Tops Waring School

The CSW Boys' Varsity Basketball team hosted Waring Academy on Wednesday, January 14th.

Missing senior captain Evan Smith '15, the Gryphons would need their entire starting five, plus their entire bench to step up to the task of keeping up with a tough Waring team. The challenge was met by a number of players. Junior Austin Thies '16 and freshman Haniff Clarke '18 gave the Gryphons a huge offensive presence down low. Waring kept the game close but precise shooting from Graeme Mills '15 and a stellar defensive display by junior Steven Yu '16 saw the Gryphons clinch a single digit victory. The final score of the game was CSW 53, Waring School 45.
