CSW Ultimate B-team Edges Sharon

The Cambridge School of Weston's Ultimate Frisbee B-team faced off against Sharon School on May 11.

This was a close and back-and-forth game. Sharon scored four very quick points at the start of the game, while CSW struggled to move the disc up the field.

A switch in tactics to a vertical stack and a zone defense, however, gave CSW the upper hand, as Uruk-Hai scored eight out of the next eleven points to arrive at halftime with a score of CSW 8 - Sharon 7.

Excellent cutting and great patience with the disc made the difference on offense, while a hard working cup slowed Sharon's progress up the field and forced throwing errors. The second half remained incredibly close, with both teams trading points back and forth.

With a soft cap on and a game to 13, Sharon scored two points to take the lead 12 - 11. A deep cut from Dean Weeden '16 and a great throw from Jackson Kessler '17 evened the score at 12 - 12. On the final point of the game, CSW forced a quick turnover and took advantage of the great field position to score the winning point. Both teams exhibited great spirit and enjoyed the close contest!

Final Score CSW 13, Sharon 12
