CSW Boys' Tennis Defeats BTA to Remain Unbeaten on 2015 Season

During a nearly flawless Spring afternoon, the CSW Boys' Tennis squad turned in a campaign of nearly flawless tennis in a 5-0 deflating of Boston Trinity Academy.

The CSW Boys' team desperately wanted to improve upon their previous 4-1 result against the inter-league adversary in the very first tussle of the 2015 tennis campaign. The CSW Boys' Varsity Tennis gang now is sporting a not too shabby 11-0 record.

In Number One Singles, senior doyen and tennis warrior Sam Hoenig '15 dominated his amicable opponent from BTA in a less than tense, but awesome to spectate, 8-1 triumph. Sam pummeled the tennis ball throughout the day, with various shots perfectly placed within centimeters of the tram lines. The future White Mule (Colby College mascot) was resilient and brilliant throughout the match.

In Number Two Singles, freshman phenom Leaf Fagerberg '18 never struggled in his 8-0 rout. Leaf made his winners look effortless. Leaf's combination of making his adversary succumb through attrition and biting crosscourt winners was stunning.

In Number Three Singles action, Sam Rueter '17 continued his animated and thrilling serve and volleying ways in a convincing 8-1 drubbing of BTA. Sam was confident in his serving and topspin forehands, marching his way to a never in doubt victory.

In Number One Doubles, Nolan "The Mastermind" DeMott '16, and Garrett "Zen" Stokes '16 coupled in a wondrous 8-0 "blanking" of their challengers from BTA. DeMott and Stokes were fearless in their blitzing of the net. Team DeMott/Stokes put forth an admirable onslaught of those yellow tennis balls throughout the afternoon.

In Number Two Doubles, Chad Valpey '17 and Harry Klein '18 were incredibly patient in their 8-6 victory over BTA. Chad and Harry both flourished at court coverage and  passing shots.

In yet another dramatic storyline, the CSW Boys' team welcomes the ENTIRE CSW community to visit Gann Academy on Wednesday afternoon, May 20th for what will be another epic battle between CSW and Gann.
