The Thompson Gallery has issued a retraction for incorrect syntax regarding the term “diaspora,” which was used in the gallery’s previous ads and announcements regarding the descriptions for Kiss the Ground exhibition series and have been removed from all existing materials and moving forward. The spirit of these exhibitions were designed to memorialize the events of 1915 Armenian Genocide and to celebrate contemporary Armenian Art and in no way were intended to be disrespectful to the Armenian Community.
