It was sunny and warm day with little wind at the Baker School Tennis Courts in Brookline (Beaver Country home courts). Missing in the lineup was Junior Jared and Sophomore Miles.
Singles #3 Junior Tristan lost a very tactically experienced and consistent player who made very few errors, preferring to use safe shots and waited for mistakes from Tristan. He tried different tactics but the opponent was very solid in court coverage. He lost 0-6 1-6.

Doubles #1 Senior Harvey and sophomore Oliver played together again but fell short against also tall with one of them having a fast serve to get free points. They lost 6-8.

Doubles #1 - Freshmen Ryan and Louis again teamed again to face the tall experienced opponents who were a constant threat at the net. Trying to lob to past proved difficult. They lose 1-8.

Singles #2 - Sophomore Julien had a big day winning his match against an opponent with a fast accurate serve. Despite the intimidating first serves, Julien kept cool and delivered his own fast serves to get free points winning 6-4 in the first set. The second set, Julien's performance dipped a bit and the opponent was now able to read Julien's serves and returned to force a rally and the opponent edged Julien 4-6. The 3rd set with a 10-tiebreaker, Julien held steady and waited for the opponent to make mistakes, which he did giving Julien the win, 10-8 in the third set.

Singles #1 - It was the first match of the day and ended as the last of the day. In a 2-hour epic match of the day with many mostly Beaver audience in attendance to see a very strong Beaver Country opponent against CSW co-captain junior Pharrell, who came from behind to win a tight contest, 1-6 7-5 10-6 (TB). Started slow and unsure of himself, Pharrell lost a quick first set while trying to figure out his opponent's strengths and weaknesses. Recomposed with a new tactic to counter the left-hander with excellent forehand, Pharrell used his slices to his opponent's backhand to neutralized his attacking forehand, in doing so he won 7-5. At the final set, Pharrell stuck to the winning tactic that eventually prevail winning 10-6.
