Alum Sonny Oram '06 Presents at CSW's Pride Month Assembly

At today's Pride Month Assembly, we were excited to welcome alum Sonny Oram '06 back to CSW! Sonny is the founder of Qwear and a leader in the queer fashion movement. Qwear Fashion is the first online LGBTQIA+ style incubator. The birthplace of the #ThisIsWhatAsexualLooksLike Movement, Qwear Fashion has been a space for fashion and gender activists to gather and form community since 2011.
Sonny was joined by Ru, Qwear Fashion Director & Co-Owner and 14-year old Lia, Qwear Trans Youth Advocate. During lunch students had the opportunity to further the discussion and ask questions.

CSW—a gender-inclusive day and boarding school for grades 9-12—is a national leader in progressive education. We live out our values of inquiry-based learning, student agency, and embracing diverse perspectives in every aspect of our student experience. Young people come to CSW to learn how to learn and then put what they learn into action—essential skills they carry into their futures as doers, makers, innovators, leaders, and exceptional humans who do meaningful work in the world.
