Boys Tennis Loss In Season Opener

The Varsity Boys lost to a strong experienced non-conference Dexter team, 1-8 overall, the strongest opponent yet in the last two seasons. 6 Singles and 3 Doubles matches played, Pharrell at #4 Singles came out with the only win.

Having lost 4 seniors last year, 4 new players who have never played an official match faced not just the good opponents but also the jitters, beginners' errors, as well as learning the new rules, protocols and tactics can be overwhelming. This encounter will help build a roadmap where each player need to work on to improve and strengthen their skills for this season and onward.

The good news is this match does count toward the conference championship but help prepare the team for the upcoming match against Chapel Hall Chauncy Hall this week.

We are excited to continue progressing and improving with many remaining matches to play this season.
