"As a somewhat shy person joining the school in 9th grade, the classes, assemblies, sports, and community events at CSW transformed me. I dared myself in 9th grade to run for a leadership role and was amazed that I got it. This inspired me to run for a seat on the Board of Trustees. I actually rapped my speech at assembly, in front of the whole school (even though I’d never sung before people in my life), and I won the election!”

The greatest benefit of CSW's academic program is the unique privilege to focus in a subject you care about. I recently designed my schedule and while there are requirements I need to take, the choices are so broad.

Self Portrait Theater
This class greatly improved my public speaking in just a few short weeks. I saw so many students leap out of their comfort zones through improv and other activities.

Sculpture
While originally scheduled to be a ceramic sculpture class on campus, due to the pandemic, we had to rapidly adjust and switch online. Our teacher was so incredibly creative. He had us build sculptures at home with balance, symmetry, and life, and we ended with a final Rube Goldberg machine project. It was a fantastic class.

- The day before the end of Mod 1, my freshman year, walking around with all my new friends and talking and joking. There is a great community here.
- Playing laser tag off campus with one of the history teachers. It was great to see how friendly (and how competitive) the teachers were with the students.
- Cheering on the basketball team after our cross country meet. Our whole team turned out, and the game ended with a picture-perfect finish. The crowd went wild.

Favorite Spot on Campus: The quad! It’s a great place for everyone to hang out, relax, and get in a game or two of Spikeball.
Favorite Dining Hall Menu Item: Churros!
Favorite D Block: Ultimate Frisbee. It feels great to work with the team on warmups, drills, and planning and motivating each other during scrimmages.
