"I’ve met people here from so many different backgrounds, which has empowered and encouraged me to be an activist for social change. ”

WHAT DO YOU CONSIDER TO BE THE GREATEST STRENGTH OF CSW'S ACADEMIC PROGRAM?

CSW's Mod System offers a wide variety of engaging courses in its curriculum, allowing students to delve into different topics and categories. This promotes personal growth as students learn more about themselves and who they want to be as they take their place in the world.

OF ALL THE CLASSES YOU'VE TAKEN HERE, WHICH HAVE BEEN YOUR FAVORITES?

3D Printing and Design Solutions
In this course I got the chance to make my own designs and make them come to life, which was a beautiful process.

Moving Yoga Dance
This course inspired me to continue the yoga path in my life as I was able to see an incredible change in myself while taking it.

One Hundred Years of Solitude
I had wanted to read this book for years but hadn't gotten around to it. It was nice to be able to discuss it in class and further my understanding of it.

WHAT HAVE BEEN SOME OF YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MOMENTS AT CSW?

  • Practicing yoga and meditation on the quad enjoying the warm spring weather with my friends.

  • All the fun times in the barn common room, playing cards, laughing, and enjoying each other's company — even after we've been hanging out all day.

  • My Senior Capstone project. This was a very meaningful moment because it allowed me to focus on something I love to do, and expand, as well as share, my knowledge about modeling and photography.

HOW HAS YOUR TIME AT CSW SHAPED YOU AS A PERSON?

Although I only attended for two years, I've grown a lot since I first came here, and I am forever grateful for that. I've become a much more mature and overall happier person. I feel very prepared for adult life.

Favorite Spot on Campus: The beach (that's not actually a beach) because I enjoy sitting on the rocks with my friends and just watching how everyone has fun on the quad.

Favorite Dining Hall Menu Item: Pizza and Caesar Salad.

Favorite D Block: I really enjoyed my Strength Training D Block because I was able to work out and try things I didn’t think I could do, such as using the weight bar.
